The federation imposes strict regulations on the affairs of its member companies whose accounts are scrutinised annually.
This is a government scheme introduced in April 2007 to ensure that all tenants’ deposits are protected in a ring fenced account and can only be used for dilapidations, specifically agreed by both landlord and tenant at the end of a tenancy. Issues in dispute are dealt with by an independent arbitrator from The Dispute Service.
We are able to offer an insurance which guarantees rent and pays for any legal expenses that may be incurred with problem tenants. We can also recommend insurance companies who deal specifically with rental properties for building and contents insurance.
